Music
Paul Tillotson and the Love Trio
Paul Tillotson was discovered by Greg, Laurie and David at the Gene Harris Jazz Festival in Boise, Idaho. The second we walked into the concert hall we knew we had to get him to play for dancers. Paul's songs are DJed constantly in the Lindy scene and he gets a kick out of playing live for dancers. The Love Trio, consisting of Mike Merritt and James Wormwood, share musical jokes with Paul all night and also play in the Max Weinberg 7 (James plays when Max is on the road) on the Conan O'Brien Show.
Gordon Webster
Gordon plays like a man thrice his age, with big chunky chords and a deeper soul than the South. Laurie has been waiting to get him and Paul Tillotson in the same room to finally establish that they are two separate people.
Wycliffe Gordon
Wycliffe stands out wherever he plays. Lindy Hoppers and Blues Dancers know "Wabash Blues", "First Thang Dis Moanin'" and many other tunes that Wycliff plays. He will have you laughing while you are dancing and might possibly inspire you to take up the trombone.
George Gee and the Make Believe Ballroom Orchestra
George is a standard in the New York Lindy scene. Every Lindy Hopper in the US can name 5 George Gee tunes. There is no other bandleader alive with more enthusiasm or who will get out and the floor and dance with such love for the music. George's orchestra swings hard and grooves hard - an unbeatable combination for a winning night.
